MEETING SYNOPSIS

This will be the 6th course.

We will again focus on research and advances in diagnosis and surgical management of a wide spectrum of pediatric retinal diseases.

Clinical Features: *common and challenging cases presented,

* preoperative diagnostic imaging, * intraoperative videos.* interactive panel discussions, * debate about different surgical approaches to pathologies, * management of
complications.

OVERVIEW

The course is designed to communicate cutting edge research, diagnostics, therapeutics, medical management and vitreoretinal  surgical techniques to improve pediatric patient outcomes.

 

A variety of information will be presented to stimulate the exchange of ideas.

 

Audience participation will be encouraged, and extensive discussion periods will be provided.

EDUCATIONAL
OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss treatment strategies that optimize vision in developing infants and children

  • Define different manifestations of common pediatric retinal conditions

  • Evaluate research findings and new therapies and how they integrate with future research strategies.

  • Discuss genetic conditions that affect that affect vision in children

  • Distinguish between pediatric and adult presentations of retinal disease and unique aspect of pediatric retinal diseases.

Members of the Pediatric Retina Association are devoted to improving the care of children with retinal diseases. The core of our efforts is to improve the diagnosis and management of infants and children with retinal problems. Since our founding in 2021, we have been determined to make an impact through our courses for Pediatric Retina Specialists worldwide. Through all of our endeavors we seek to share our respect and caring for colleagues and patients of all genders, races, ethnicities and beliefs.
